"Pink Lady" is a trademark for the Cripps Pink cultivar bred in Australia. There is also an older, unrelated Pink Lady (now marketed as Pink Princess following the Cripps trademark to avoid confusion) from Ontario.

Rating Breakdown
About
A strikingly beautiful apple with a rosy pink blush and a complex sweet-tart flavor. It requires a long growing season and warm climate to develop its signature color. Not to be confused with the older Canadian heritage variety of the same name.
Fun Fact
Pink Lady is actually a trademark; the variety name is Cripps Pink, named after breeder John Cripps. The breeding program began in 1973, seedlings first fruited in 1979, the variety was officially named Cripps Pink in 1989, and the Pink Lady® trademark launched in 1991 — making it the first apple variety ever trademarked. Only fruit meeting strict color and sugar standards can be sold under the brand.
