Fun Fact

Fred Jansen, a Toronto breeder and co-founder of the North American Fruit Explorers (NAFEX), bred this apple in 1967 and originally named it 'Pink Lady.' When the Australian Cripps Pink trademarked that name in 1991, Jansen renamed his variety 'Pink Princess' in 1997 to avoid confusion.
