About

A versatile golden-skinned apple with honeyed sweetness and tender flesh. Despite the name, it is not related to Red Delicious and is far more useful in the kitchen.

Fun Fact

Anderson Mullins noticed the seedling in 1905 and sent samples to Stark Brothers Nursery around 1914. They purchased the tree and enclosed it in a cage to prevent anyone from stealing cuttings, employing a nephew to guard and document it for 30 years.
